RMA Cambodia Plants More Than A Thousands Trees in Siem Reap Province
Siem Reap Province – On the morning of 21st of September, RMA (Cambodia) Plc, in partnership with the Siem Reap Provincial Administration, successfully organized a large-scale tree planting event to enhance local environmental sustainability. A total of 1,350 Bungor (Lagerstroemia Loudonii) trees were planted along National Road No. 6, from the Sokha Hotel traffic light to the Jayavarman VII roundabout.
The planting ceremony was presided over by His Excellency Yun Linne, Deputy Governor of Siem Reap Province, and attended by a broad range of participants including senior management and staff from RMA Cambodia, civil servants, security forces, volunteers, students, and residents.
In his opening remarks, His Excellency Yun Linne stated, “RMA Cambodia has demonstrated that public-private partnerships are now stronger than ever, with the private sector playing an integral role in driving progress. RMA Cambodia’s contributions are not only bolstering the economy of Siem Reap but also benefiting the nation as a whole.” He further highlighted RMA Cambodia’s significant involvement in the tree-planting campaign, contributing 1,350 trees, making it the largest contributor out of the more than 7,000 trees planted through this initiative.
Mr. Ngorn Saing, CEO of RMA (Cambodia) Plc, highlighted the significance of this initiative in fostering unity and environmental stewardship, saying, “This tree planting initiative is not only a reflection of our dedication to sustainability but also a call to action for future generations. Together, we are contributing to a greener and more vibrant Siem Reap, a place of historical importance and natural beauty.” He added, “These newly planted trees will contribute to the province’s landscape, attracting both national and international visitors to witness the beauty of Siem Reap.”
Mr. Saing also extended his gratitude to H.E. the Governor, the Siem Reap Provincial Administration, RMA Cambodia’s senior management and staff, business partners, customers, volunteers, students, and local residents for their invaluable support in making this event a success.
